Con.tradition
the luminous lantern designed by Sara Bernardi has been selected to be part of
W Woman in Italian Design, the exhibition, organized by the La Triennale di Milano which traces a new
history of Italian design in the feminine.
The ninth
edition of the Triennale Design Museum curated by Silvana Annicchiarico, while elebrating its XXI International Exhibition, examines Italian design in the
light of one its most delicate, most problematic aspects – but also one of the
most exciting and appealing, which is that of gender.
A tale of Italian
design from the beginning of the twentieth century to the present day from a
different perspective: “under the sign of Penelope”, from the point of view of
the weavings and tangles of female creativity. A way to celebrate women as the
new creative force behind a form of design that is less high-handed and
authoritarian, and more spontaneous and dynamic.
Thanks to
the genuine poetry that they are able to evoke Con.tradition lamps by Sara
Bernardi aredefinitely perfect in this
frame. Perfect fusion between the minimalism of contemporary style (Con.temporary),
and the preciousness of Chinese antique furniture style (.tradition).
