A very special edition of Con.fort chair is on display in Paris until the 23rd of September. It is part of “Tea with my monsters” the set up that Maurizio Galante and Tal Lancman conceived especially for AD Intérieurs, the exhibition organized by AD France.
The monsters are the Japanese Kaiju, neither bad nor good creatures. They represent the result of mankind wrongdoings, such as pollution and atomic weapons. “Tea with mymonsters” wants to be a safe room, an intimate space where, as the designers said << It is possible to connect with our inner monster, make peace with it, and coexist in harmony. >>
This is the concept behind the creation of a universe where Kaiju monsters are everywhere. They can rest quietly in a plexiglass case like fishes inside a fish tank. They can be the main actors on carpets, tapestries and wallpapers. And they take also the form of mirrors and hide in fringed furniture pieces.
A very special edition of Con.fort chair completes the set up. Fluorescent orange structure, backrest and details in galvanised 24 k gold: a mix with a powerful chromatic impact.
<< We wanted a strong piece, immediately recognizable and easy to remember – tells Maurizio Galante – this is the reason why we chose unusual colour combinations . The same happens in the nature: when we see an exotic insect, bird, or flower, we appreciate their colour combinations, and never question whether they are in good taste.>>
Exclusive customizations make this chair,
that combines practicality and
functionality with comfort and design, even more unique.
AD Intérieurs is the event that AD France organizes each year to present the achievements of talents embodying the strong trends of contemporary decoration. Confirmed interior designers work side by side with the younger creators to represent the diversity of the styles of the moment.
